Unscheduled Visit Raises Speculation

Duchess Kate made an unscheduled visit to Windsor Castle, reportedly to check in on the Queen.

The visit comes after the Queen has postponed several engagements and canceled an appearance due to ongoing mobility issues but has continued to perform her duties from Windsor Castle. Beyond the Duchess’s visit, the Queen also held a virtual meeting with the Swiss President on Wednesday.

This display of resilience has put some speculation to rest; however, concerns arose earlier this week when the Queen was seen using a walking stick to attend the Thanksgiving service for Prince Philip.

Despite these setbacks, it appears the Duchess Kate’s visit was to reassure both the Queen and the public that her health was not declining rapidly. The Queen is currently 95 years old.

The visit, though unscheduled, is seen as a sign of Kate’s and the Royal family’s support and is likely to go a long way in quelling any rumors that the Queen’s health is deteriorating quickly.
