Cerundolo Drops Only One Set in Five Matches

Francisco Cerundolo has won the ATP Cordoba Open, dropping just one set in five matches on his way to the title. The 23-year-old Argentine defeated Albert Ramos-Viñolas 6-0, 6-3 in the final on Sunday to claim his first ATP Tour title.

Cerundolo, who is currently ranked 27th in the world, saved six of the seven break points he faced in the match and broke Ramos-Viñolas four times.

Cerundolo's Dream Run

Cerundolo's victory in Cordoba is the culmination of a dream run for the young Argentine. He began the tournament by defeating former world No. 3 Dominic Thiem in the first round, and he went on to beat Pedro Cachin, Federico Coria, and Ramos-Viñolas in the following rounds.

With his victory in Cordoba, Cerundolo becomes the first Argentine to win an ATP Tour title since Juan Martin del Potro won the Stockholm Open in 2018.
